These terms apply when you use smartwpplugins.com or any of our plugins, free or paid. By using the site, downloading a plugin or buying a licence, you agree to them. “We” and “us” mean SmartWP Plugins, run by GrowQuest Technologies Pvt. Ltd., registered at P-3, Dr. R.N. Tagore Road, North 24 Parganas, Kolkata 700056, India. “You” means the person or business using our site or plugins.
Our plugins and the GPL
Our plugins are released under the GNU General Public License (GPL), like WordPress itself. The GPL lets you use, study and change their code. A paid licence gives you the Pro downloads, updates and support for the licence’s term.
Licences
- A licence covers the number of sites in its plan, for example one site, five sites or unlimited sites.
- A yearly licence includes updates and support for one year from the purchase. It renews automatically each year unless you cancel the renewal in your account; after you cancel, the licence stays active until the end of the year you paid for.
- A lifetime licence is a single payment and includes updates for as long as we develop the plugin.
- Use a licence on your own sites or your clients’ sites. Don’t resell or share it. It can only move to another person or business with our agreement.
- Updates and support need an active licence.
Buying and payments
Payments are processed by Freemius, our payment and licensing partner. Prices are shown in US dollars or euros, and sales tax or VAT may be added at checkout depending on where you are.
We may change our prices. A change never affects a term you’ve already paid for. Refunds follow our refund policy.
Free plugins
Our free plugins are published on WordPress.org and cost nothing to use. You can get help with them in each plugin’s WordPress.org forum or from our support page.
Support and updates
Support covers using our plugins and fixing bugs in them. It doesn’t cover custom code, changes to how a plugin works, other plugins or themes, or hosting and server problems.
We test our plugins and work to keep them compatible with current versions of WordPress, WooCommerce and YOOtheme Pro, but we can’t guarantee they’ll work with every version, theme or plugin. Back up your site before you install or update any plugin.
Your account
Keep your account details safe; you’re responsible for what happens in your account. We may suspend an account or cancel a licence used for fraud, for abusing our support or services, for attacking our site, or for sharing paid downloads.
Names and content
The SmartWP Plugins name, our plugin names and logos, this website and our documentation belong to us. The GPL covers our plugins’ code, not these. Don’t use our names or logos in a way that suggests you are us or work with us.
No warranty
Our plugins and this site are provided as they are, without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows. We don’t promise they’ll be free of errors or meet every need.
Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, sales, data or business, that come from using or not being able to use our site or plugins. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us for the plugin it concerns.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be limited.
Other companies’ software
Our plugins work with WordPress, WooCommerce and YOOtheme Pro, and payments go through Freemius. Those are other companies’ products and services, with their own terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using the site or our plugins after a change, the new terms apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes go to the courts of Kolkata, India, unless the consumer law where you live lets you bring them elsewhere.
